Friction stir welding is a kind of welding method that makes use of the heat generated by the mutual movement and friction of the workpiece end face to make the end reach the thermoplastic state, and then quickly top forging to complete the welding. Friction welding can easily join the same or dissimilar materials, including metals, some metal matrix composites, ceramics and plastics. Friction welders have been used in the manufacturing industry for more than 40 years and have been widely used in engineering because of their high productivity and good quality.
This project is used to manufacture the propellant storage tank of Air China Long March 5. The machine tool adopts Siemens 840D system, and the frequency converter adopts WinMO VFT series specific model VFT0370T4, which is used to intensify the shaft of machine tool J1 and J2. According to the customer's request, the wired pulse has been integrated into a wireless display with the specific model of WinMO PSM series PSM071WA. The wireless hand pulse is easy to operate and flexible to use, and has been praised by many.

1. Description of system principle
The method of friction stir welding is the same as conventional friction welding. Friction stir welding also uses friction heat and plastic deformation heat as welding heat sources. The difference is that the friction stir welding welding process is by a cylinder or other shapes (such as threaded cylinder) stir needle (welding pin) into the joint of the workpiece, through the high-speed rotation of the welding head, so that it and welding workpiece material friction, so that the material temperature of the connection part of the softening. 3.1 Master and slave communication with the West Gate subsystem PROFIBUS-DP
Siemens 840 d system configuration through our DP 485 modules with WINMO inverter modbus master-slave communication, module Settings, simple can convert profibus-dp into 485 agreement, directly with Siemens hardware configuration DP network address one-to-one correspondence mapping, and then corresponding function code, the message by the frequency converter for effective control and condition monitoring, it has a simple configuration, easy to use, stable communication, fast response speed, etc.
3.2 Vector control:
Winmo VFT inverter in this project as a J1, J2 two tightening shaft, make full use of the Winmo inverter non-inductive vector operation mode, with efficient vector compensation function, with 180% of the low frequency torque output, the optimal low-frequency dead zone compensation characteristic, can also according to the practical application of vector fine-tuning, meet the special requirements of the system for torque. Unique ventilation and heat dissipation design can greatly alleviate the heating problem of frequency converter in the case of long-term overload, and ensure the stability of the system to a great extent.

This project is the exclusive application of WINMO and its research and development products based on the stir welding machine industry. Through our effective cooperation, the function of the stir welding machine system is more perfect and the application is more popular.
